So K had a day full of things to do with the girls, so we had our own boys day.

Dropped K off this morning, came home, dropped Skyler (the dog) off and headed out to bowling. Found a little bowling alley in Needham that looks like it fell out of the early 70’s. Wooden ball returns, four-can vending machine, bad carpeting running the floor and up the walls.

The hit of the bowling? Spongebob on the TV and goldfish from the vending machine. I “kind of” beat C and he “totally beat” M.

Home for lunch and naps. Wake up, had peanut butter cookies from Sugar that K bought us this morning. Had to explain why there are no blue Reese’s Pieces. M didn’t like the brown ones.

Then, out to the park. Playing, running, climbing and pirates. All fun and games. Swings. More running. Some musing to follow in a different post.

Home again. Dad cooked pasta and meatballs while the boys watched Tom and Jerry go to Mars. Dinner. M announces he hates pasta and he hates meatballs. Eats some of each anyway.

Finish Tom & Jerry. Play Cootie. Pajamas, brush teeth, stories, bed. Change pajamas (“we’re sweaty!”) Back to bed.

Dad collapses into chair.
